Oh look, another ’Ring record
The battle for Nurburgring bragging rights continues apace. Last month it was Chinese company Nio that staked its claim with a 6:45.9 lap around the Nordschliefe in its EP9 allelectric supercar. Then Mclaren returned serve with the P1 GTR LM. Strictly speaking, a share of the credit should go to Mclaren’s partners Lanzante, who converts the LM racers for road use. On a public track day, the P1 GTR lapped the Green Hell in 6:43.2, the cockpit video showing Indycar jock Kenny Bräck getting a good workout at the wheel.
