Howzat? Spy snappers have caught America’s version of our next Commodore testing in the US, badged as the Buick Regal GS. Wearing a sedan body, the Buick version is believed to use the same V6 that’s being developed for our market, sending drive to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic. When it arrives here, our version of the range-topping Opel Insignia is likely to carry the Calais badge, a variant introduced with the VK Commodore. And the SS nameplate? Its deep ties with V8s means it is unlikely to carry on beyond the current VF series.
