ACCC takes on Ford over Powershift

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) last month launched legal proceedings against Ford Australia over the Powershift transmission scandal, alleging Ford “engaged in unconscionable and misleading or deceptive conduct, and made false or misleading representations in its response to customer complaints”. Ford has refuted the ACCC’S allegations and has vowed to challenge them. “As each of these issues has been identified, the Ford team has investigated and worked with customers to implement solutions,” Ford said in a press statement.
