The spec of our GT3 was almost GT3 Rs-lite, with the Clubsport pack, look-at-me paint and harnesses. If you prefer a lower key look, just tick the zero-cost Touring Package option. This nets you a manual transmission and a leather and cloth interior without the track-émigré Alcantara, and deletes the rear wing. It sounds like the 911R that Porsche offered in limited numbers and which now change hands for ridiculous money, but the R has the old engine capped to 8500rpm, and features magnesium body panels which make it 43kg lighter. The launch of the Touring Package must have given a few 911R speculators some seriously sweaty palms.
