MILLIE BOBBY BROWN The 13-year-old Stranger Things nominee showed an instinct for the carpet in a princess-worthy Calvin Klein By Appointment dress with a full tulle skirt. JESSICA BIEL Posing for photographers in her Ralph & Russo Couture gown, the actress, who was on presenting duty, shared a little about 2-yearold son Silas’s latest milestone. “Now he’s saying to me, ‘No, no, mommy, we are not going to do this anymore and this is not a match. This is not a match,’ ” she told E! News, with a laugh. SOFIA VERGARA Chalking up her eighth Emmys outing as a cast member of Modern Family (nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series), the star stuck to her signature figurehugging style in Mark Zunino. “He makes dresses that are perfect for voluptuous women,” said the actress, whose date—son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, 25—had the internet crushing.

SUSAN SARANDON

She was up against her Feud: Bette and Joan co-star Jessica Lange in Nicole Kidman’s category, but that wasn’t as daunting as playing icon Bette Davis, Sarandon (in Zac Posen) revealed. “It took me about over a month to get the fear to fun ratio in my favour,” she told E!

ROBIN WRIGHT

Nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for House of Cards, Wright chose her Thierry Mugler gown five minutes before starting her makeup. “I had another dress,” she said. “I think it’s like that every year—last-minute crazy chaos and then, badaboom!” She chose Nirav Modi jewellery and took daughter Dylan Penn as her date.

Both Russell (in a J. Mendel gown and Nikos Koulis jewellery) and her co-star and partner, Matthew Rhys, were nominated for The Americans.
