The engagement—and romance—is apparently off

AFTER ALMOST THREE YEARS TOGETHER, Robert Pattinson and singer FKA Twigs have split. “They broke up several months ago,” a source told Justjared.com, confirming a report that first appeared in UK newspaper The Sun on Oct. 11.

The pair started dating in September 2014 and became engaged seven months later. In July the actor, 31, had curiously described them as “kind of” engaged, and rumours of a split intensified in August when Twigs (real name Tahliah Barnett), 29, was spotted without her four-carat diamond engagement ring.

“They were almost inseparable for their first two years together. But in recent months they have really started to drift apart and have been spending less and less time together,” a source told The Sun. “Rob is tired of it, has called off their engagement and told friends they have split. With so much history between them, though, there are still strong feelings there. It’s a difficult situation but things have become tough between them for some time.”■

“They both know they were no longer working as a couple,” a source told The Sun of Pattinson and Barnett (in 2016).

A source told WHO in August that the couple (in 2014) were “definitely still together.”
