Kitchen as a breakthrough. “Instead of being like, ‘Oh, it’s just luck, just luck,’” she says, “well, actually I’ve worked really, really hard on myself personally and professionally.”

As part of that work, Frost dipped her toe back into dating waters with Navy diver Dave Bashford, a friend prior to her achieving television fame. “He knows me for me and he’s so proud of me,” she says. As to why things are clicking with Bashford and her career, she reflects: “If you don’t have the right person, you feel restricted and you are having to constantly explain why you’re doing what you’re doing. And you’re like, ‘ Well, this is who I am, and I don’t want to apologise. I am a weirdo and I kind of like it!’”

Frost has now found that acceptance on Home and Away, too: “When you have a room full of people who believe in you, it makes it easy to perform the best that you can because you are not intimidated.”
