I thought he was going to fire me,” Paltrow, 45, told The New York Times of the moment she turned down Weinstein’s advances shortly after the 22-year-old actress was cast in his 1996 adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma. Weinstein allegedly put his hands on her and asked for a massage. Paltrow told her then-boyfriend Brad Pitt and the young actor later confronted Weinstein, warning him to “never do this to her again.” She went on to win an Oscar for Weinstein’s Shakespeare in Love in 1999.
