Luke Evans certainly can’t be typecast. The Welsh stage actor, 38, has been a musketeer, an action star and, most recently, Disney villain Gaston in Beauty and the Beast. But his new role as the creator of the Wonder Woman comic in Professor Marston and the Wonder Women might be his wildest yet. “No-one will believe the story,” Evans says of the tale of William Moulton Marston, who, as a professor of psychology, helped invent the liedetector test, was in a polyamorous relationship with his wife and a student and then invented Wonder Woman. “I feel like it’s a story that’s worth telling,” he says. “Wonder Woman reflected the two women in his life. He believed women were the more influential and powerful sex.” (Out now)
