Congratulations on your new fragrance, Rose Rush.
Thank you. This is my 23rd fragrance, so I’m so proud and so excited and it’s been amazing launching this worldwide, and great to be back here in Sydney.
The bottle is very pretty did you have a big input in the design?
Yes, I’m involved 100 per cent of the way for the bottle, the fragrance, what the campaign’s going to be. I’ve been in the fragrance industry for 13 years now, it’s something I really love doing and creating for the fans to wear.
What is your beauty philosophy?
It’s definitely about taking care of your skin. That’s definitely one of the most important things, and feeling confident and smiling—that’s something that always makes you feel good.
Have you always taken care of your skin?
I’ve always been obsessed with skincare since I was a little girl. My mum taught me to take good care of my skin, to stay out of the sun and just to use the right products.
Did your mum offer any wise beauty advice for you and your sister?
The best advice was staying out of the sun and I’m so glad I listened because when I was a teenager all my friends would always be laying out and baking, and I was the only one who didn’t and I’m grateful for that.
Did you ever used to raid her closet?
I still do! She has an amazing closet. We were there on Thanksgiving and she was showing me her new dresses. I actually wore her Valentino, this pretty pink dress yesterday [to the Chemist Warehouse event].
Are you enjoying being an auntie?
I love it! Lily Grace is such a little angel and I love spoiling her and buying her cute little dresses. I always bring Diamond Baby, my chihuahua. She’s just learnt to walk so she chases the dog around [ laughs] and it’s really cute.
