Nine months after she filed for divorce from French journalist Romain Dauriac, Scarlett Johansson is getting serious with her new leading man: Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost. The couple celebrated Johansson’s 33rd birthday together in November with an intimate dinner at the 1700 House Restaurant & Inn in the Hamptons, New York state, and a friend of Jost’s says that Johansson and Jost, 35, have already met each other’s families. “It’s serious,” says the friend. “They’re both very respectful of each other’s careers and very supportive. They’re super-cute together.”

Although the actress went on dates with “a few guys” after her split from Dauriac—she stepped out with lawyer Kevin Yorn and was spotted dining with celeb chef Bobby Flay— she is ready to take things to the next level with Jost, who dated comedian Rashida Jones for three years. “She would go on dates with Colin and be very excited after,” says another source. “It took a while for them to be exclusive, but they are now. Scarlett is very happy with Colin.”

The two were first spotted together kissing at an SNL after-party in May. “Scarlett likes to be in love,” says an industry source. “Colin is good for her because she likes smart men, especially writer types. She is always searching for that perfect match.”

Johansson, who was married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011, finalised the divorce with Dauriac in September. The two

share joint custody of their daughter, 3-yearold Rose Dorothy. “Being a parent is good for Scarlett,” says the industry source. “She is super-busy with motherhood and her work. Now Colin fits into her world.”

In September, Jost told Entertainment Tonight that Johansson is “pretty cool. It’s hard to have a lot of complaints, she’s pretty awesome.” Jost’s friend says he “was always attracted to Scarlett,” but the New York native is not the type to boast about dating a movie star. “Colin is very smart, down-toearth, witty, thoughtful and hardworking,” says his pal. “He’s just a nice, normal, average guy. He probably was like, ‘How did this happen?’” For now, they’re keeping out of the spotlight. “I am not convinced she is made to stay in one relationship,” says the industry source. “But she is interested in Colin and having a great time with him.”
