The model, Myer Ambassador and renovating queen talks beauty and building sites

an you tell us about the Myer ‘Find your feeling’ beauty campaign, and what it means to you?

It’s all about diversity, embracing everyone’s unique beauty and individuality. Being on the front cover of the Myer catalogue was a huge milestone in my career, I used to work for Myer as a kid, so to be on the cover was a huge tick for me personally.

What defines beauty for you?

Beauty comes from the inside, so I think if you’re confident in yourself it will shine through but if you can embrace it with beautiful products that helps too!

In your everyday, are you a makeup girl?

I am. During the day I keep it neutral, glowy and fresh. I like contoured cheeks and my eyebrows done, fresh mascara, and then at night I add to my eyes to make the blue pop.

How do you keep your skin so beautiful?

I always keep a hydrating mist on me throughout the day. I use a night-time face oil every second night and moisturiser every other night, and, every now and then, I’ll do a peel on my face just to get rid of the old skin and promote the new.

Do you love having the best of both worlds, the feminine side of modelling and then getting dirty and diving into a building site?

I love having both sides and I think that’s what makes you real. There’s no reason why you can’t have both. Give it a crack and do your best. That’s how my dad brought us [her brother and sister] up. We haven’t been given anything, we have been taught to fight for it, work hard and it will come your way.

What makes you happy?

Sunshine, my dog Isla, Josh [ boyfriend Josh Barker], family, holidays, switching off from everything and having some Elyse time. Just simple things like going for a bush walk, getting to the beach or the river, camping and being surrounded by positive, happy, inspirational people.
