The 64-year-old ARIA Hall of Famer joins Countdown cohorts Brian Cadd, Russell Morris, Leo Sayer and John Paul Young on the May 16–June 16 Apia Good Times tour. The “Queen of Pop” tells WHO’S Cynthia Wang about the artists who make up her musical court.

The singers who remind me of my childhood Nat King Cole or Ella Fitzgerald because that’s who my mother used to play. When I hear the sombre tones of Nat King Cole, I always think, “Oh.” It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling. The first album I paid for My very first one was Sgt. Pepper’s, but there was a record store when I was growing up in Boston and my brother and I were allowed to buy 45s, so we would buy whatever was in the Top 10, like the Supremes or the Temptations. Song that reminds me of love I think the first song that really touched me as a young girl was Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love”. I don’t know why, but I thought, “Wow!” I suppose it was the era and the psychedelic thing and hearing the voice echoing. I remember how much I loved that song. I would love to collaborate with ... Tina Arena because I think she’s just off the chain when it comes to singing. She’s incredible. And I’d really love to do something with Giorgio Moroder. A live performance that had a great impact I just saw Ed Sheeran hold 80,000 people in the palm of his hand without a band— that was impressive. Singer who touches my soul I don’t know that there are many people that will ever be like Michael Jackson. I am still quite moved by the musician and performer Michael is and was.
