Among the glut of superhero films, here’s one with substance. Picking up from where we left The Incredibles 14 years ago, the superhero family is back fighting evil, before the government shuts them down (for all the mess they make). Enter superhero advocate Winston Deavor (Bob Odenkirk), who devises a PR plan to get Mr Incredible (Nelson), Elastigirl, Violet, Dash and a scene stealing Jack-jack back on side with the city while a mysterious mind-controller plans to rid the world for good of “supers.” Gender roles, teenage angst and the empowerment of children figure strongly in this superb actionpacked Pixar sequel that will captivate every age.
