MEET THE LADIES OF LADIES IN BLACK

Bruce Beresford’s charming adaptation of Madeleine St John’s 1993 novel about women working in a Sydney department store in the 1950s (out Sept. 20) has a lot more to offer than just period detail— for starters, a fine cast of female leads.
