No more Saturday night love for the actor who has a new Playmate
AYEAR AFTER MAKING THEIR relationship official, Ben Affleck seems to have moved on from Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus, 38, having already been spotted out with a new woman. On Aug. 16, the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice actor was seen at Nobu restaurant in Los Angeles with 22-year-old Playboy model Shauna Sexton. “It looked like maybe a first date,” says a source adding, “she looked very cute and he seemed interested.” Sexton was also seen at Affleck’s mansion on Aug. 19 before the pair were snapped at a fast-food drive-through in Santa Monica. “They hung out at his house and also drove around on the west side,” a source tells WHO. “They seemed to get along great. They were chatting and laughing. Ben looked happy.”
Shookus and Affleck haven’t been seen together since a mall outing in Puerto Rico in late July, and her absence from his 46th birthday party on Aug. 15 gave rise to speculation the couple had split. Since Affleck was linked to Shauna Sexton, Shookus’ Instagram account has been taken offline. “It was amicable, but unfortunately it didn’t work out,” partly because the relationship was often long-distance, an Affleck pal says. “They truly cared for each other and tried to make it work. Unfortunately, now is not the time.”
Since separating from wife Jennifer Garner in 2015, Affleck has opened up about his alcohol and drug additions. “Ben is doing really well, he’s in a good place mentally,” a close friend of the actor recently told WHO. “He continues to work really hard on himself and the health of his relationships.” •
