LOVE ISLAND SCANDAL

The reality star is caught out

-

THEY WERE THE FAN FAVOURITES TO WIN Love Island Australia, and Eden Dally and Erin Barnett – who have split since telling WHO about their IVF plans in August – show no sign of stepping out of the spotlight. Post-split, things between the couple have turned very sour, with each party taking to social media to call out the other.

Now, among all the drama, a photo has surfaced of Dally with what appears to be a white substance neatly placed on a plate in front of him. But the 25-year-old tells WHO the image is purely innocent. “We were playing Cards Against Humanity and then we were doing tequila shots,” he says. “We got the salt on the plate and one of the dares was either sniff it or lick it – so I sniffed the salt and then we did tequila shots,” Dally says. “I get drug-tested nearly every week so I can’t do any drugs.”

Meanwhile, in a Youtube video posted on Sept. 21, Barnett, 23, spilled the beans on why the couple allegedly split so soon after speaking about their future plans. “Why did Eden and I break up?” the blonde wrote. “Now it’s all out in the open, I feel free.”

In the short video, the former reality star didn’t hold back, claiming that very early on in their relationship, Dally allegedly started to show violent tendencies. After Love Island finished, Barnett says the couple were taken to a private villa before heading back to Australia. “I just wanted to go to bed and Eden didn’t,” she says. “Things escalated very quickly and Eden got very in my face. He was yelling, throwing things.”

But the most outrageous of the alleged incidents happened when the pair were driving to lunch and got into an argument. Barnett then says she told Dally she wanted to break up. “Eden got very angry at me and said, ‘ Well, if you don’t want to be with me then I’ll kill us both,’ ” the nurse said. “He was swerving the car from side to side.”

In anticipation of the video, Dally took to Instagram to squash the serious claims before the video was posted. “In response to accusations levelled at me by my former partner Erin, I vigorously deny all allegations,” he wrote on Sept. 14. “To claim I tried to kill us both is defamatory of the highest calibre.”

In what has become a ‘he said, she said’ circus of claims, Dally said he wouldn’t be making any further comment and expressed his intent to clear his name “of the accusers and of the media who wish to report these lies.” •
