OCTOBER 2017 According to authorities, D’amico and Mcclure see Bobbitt near a Philadelphia casino and start plotting. OCTOBER 2017 Mcclure claims to have been stranded off Interstate 95 in Philadelphia. NOV. 10, 2017 The “Paying It Forward” campaign on Gofundme is created. NOV. 10, 2017 Within an hour of the launch, according to legal documents, Mcclure allegedly texts her best friend that the gas story “is completely made up”. NOVEMBER – DECEMBER 2017 Mcclure takes $500,000 from the campaign and places it in her bank account. DEC. 4, 2017 A campervan is bought for Bobbitt for around $24,000. He moves to the couple’s property in Florence, New Jersey. JANUARY 2018 Mcclure attends Ellen after reaching out to the talk show. MARCH 2018 The Gofundme money is running out. “I’m so upset,” Mcclure texts D’amico. AUG. 23, 2018 The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Bobbitt is homeless again. Scrutiny and suspicion mount. AUG. 27 & 31, 2018 D’amico and Mcclure defend themselves on Today – insisting there’s plenty of money left. Days later Bobbitt is on ABC with his lawyer, saying, “I wish it didn’t come to this.” AUG. 28, 2018 Bobbitt files a civil suit against D’amico and Mcclure. SEPT. 4, 2018 The couple’s lawyer says in court that the money is “gone”. SEPT. 6, 2018 Authorities execute a search warrant at the couple’s home. NOV. 15, 2018 Charges are filed: “This type of case can damage the psyche of the public,” prosecutors say.
