Jane the Virgin fans are still waiting to find out who Jane Villanueva ends up with, but Gina Rodriguez’s love story is no mystery. The actress tied the knot with fiancé Joe LoCicero on May 4. She announced the news on Instagram two days later, posting a video of the magical affair. “May 4th, 2019 was absolute MAGIC. To my husband, Joseph, I am yours forever,” she captioned the post. Rodriguez, 34, and LoCicero, 32, met in 2016 when he played a stripper on Jane the Virgin and they started dating soon after. LoCicero proposed in early 2018, and the couple confirmed the news in August – about a month after rumours of an engagement first started swirling when Rodriguez posted photos of the two cosied up on her birthday ... with a huge ring on that finger. “I am [engaged]!” she told WHO at the time. “He’s the best. We’ve been engaged for like a month – I’ve kept it a secret for a while!”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey alumna, 47, finally confirmed the news on May 6, revealing that she and David Cantin tied the knot on June 28, 2017. There has long been speculation about whether they had already wed in secret. The couple have been dating since 2015.

Hayden Panettiere’s boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was arrested on a domestic violence charge after an altercation at the couple’s home on May 3. Hickerson got into an alleged physical altercation with the Nashville actress, 29. He was released after posting a $US50,000 bond, TMZ reports. The outlet claims police visited the residence around 2am, and noticed “redness and marks” on Panettiere’s body.
DEATH
Peggy Lipton, known for her roles on The Mod Squad and Twin Peaks, died on May 11. She was 72. Lipton’s daughters, Kidada and Rashida Jones, confirmed she passed away from cancer. “Peggy was and will always be our beacon of light, both in this world and beyond,” they said.
