Chris Pratt’s wedding

Chris Pratt is enjoying a second chance at love. The Avengers actor and Katherine Schwarzenegger officially tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on June 8. The groom looked dapper in a custom-made black suit by Giorgio Armani, which he teamed with a white shirt and a silver tie, meanwhile the bride opted for a simple yet elegant white gown – also by Armani.

Only hours after the couple married in

a Californian ceremony, both Pratt, 39, and Schwarzenegger, 29, shared a romantic photo of themselves walking hand-in-hand and smiling at one another on their big day.

“Yesterday was the best day of our lives!” the newlyweds wrote on Instagram. “We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love. It was intimate, moving and emotional.”

“We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives. We are so thankful to our families and our friends who stood with us and grateful to Mr Giorgio Armani who created a once in a lifetime dress for Katherine to wear and for me, the perfect suit,” Pratt added. “This morning we feel nothing but blessed.”

In a show of unity, Pratt and Schwarzenegger posted the same

photo on Instagram — alongside a nearly identical message — at the exact same time.

The loved-up duo exchanged their vows at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, in front of close family and friends. “The venue is beautiful. Lots of flowers and greenery everywhere. It’s a very romantic setting for a wedding,” a source told WHO. “The whole family took wedding photos, including her parents Maria [Shriver] and Arnold [Schwarzenegger]. Everyone just looked so happy,” the source added.

Guests in attendance included Pratt’s former wife, Anna Faris, 42, and their 6-yearold son, Jack. The bride’s famous siblings – brothers Patrick and Christopher as well as sister Christina – were there to show their support, too; however her half brother Joseph Baena was a no-show. Actor Rob Lowe was also on the guest list, and he was accompanied by his wife, Sheryl Berkoff, and their sons, Johnny and Matthew.

Pratt, who split from former wife Faris in 2017 after 10 years together, began dating Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2018 and announced their engagement in January this year. Pratt revealed he had proposed to Katherine, gushing on Instagram: “Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!”

Despite the quick move on Pratt’s part, Faris has in the past expressed her well wishes to the couple. Speaking on her podcast Unqualified, in

January, she explained: “Chris texted me this morning and he was like, ‘I proposed to Katherine last night’. And I was like, ‘Ahh, that’s amazing’. And I texted him back like, ‘I just wanted to remind you I’m an ordained minister’... I’m not very good at it. I do want to congratulate Chris and Katherine, so I love you guys. I do love you, and congratulations – I’m thrilled. They’re both f--king amazing people. I’m so happy,” she continued.

And the theme of happiness continued for the couple and their guests on their special day. Following the ceremony, Pratt was spotted with his wedding band on his left hand – proving chivalry is not dead, he escorted his bride to the tented reception area where their guests enjoyed cocktails on the lawn while a live band played. As for the food served during the reception, the bride and groom had a selection from a “very vibrant menu,” an insider told WHO. “They are using only local food. It’s a lot of fresh vegetables. They didn’t want the menu to be too heavy, or rich. It’s more of a light summer menu,” the insider shared. “For dessert, there are lighter options as well like raspberries, blueberries and redcurrants.”

During the reception, Pratt made a heartfelt speech and thanked guests for joining him and his new wife. In addition, guests danced to Bruno Mars’ hits ‘24K Magic’ and ‘Uptown Funk’ as well as Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’, Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’ and Miley Cyrus’ ‘Party in the USA’. A party indeed! Congratulations to the couple.
