He’s set to return to our screens later this year as the host of Channel Seven’s Proposal and Home and Away alum Luke Jacobz has revealed he has even bigger dreams on the horizon. Speaking to WHO at Moccona Barista Reserve’s first National Doona Day on June 17, Jacobz admitted he aspires to be just as successful as legendary Aussie actor Hugh Jackman.

“If I could have coffee with anyone, it’d be Hugh Jackman and it would be for a really long time,” Jacobz says. “I love everything

he’s done – he’s just an inspiration for so many things like dancing and singing and acting and training.”

Although he hasn’t met the man he calls his role model, Jacobz says he’s a diehard fan. “I’ve seen him so many times. I’m going to his show in a couple of months,” he reveals, as the actor begins to lift up his shirt. “I’m not going to do anything rude here, but I got a Wolverine tattoo. I got that because he’s just a legend.” The actor also announced his engagement to Raychel Stuart in November and opened up about the sweet gestures he does for her. “My favourite thing in the morning is to sort of creep out before she wakes up, make her a coffee and bring it to her in bed,” he says. “I’ll sit it on the bedside table and I can leave the room and she says that it’s the smell of it that wakes her up.”

However, a US native, Stuart is currently in LA, but

“she’s been out to Australia a few times”.

Jacobz adds that when she is in the country, one of his other favourite things to do is have a lazy Sunday together followed by a nice hearty meal. “I love putting a slow cooker on and you can smell it all day,” he tells WHO. “I do a lamb shank, I like to smell the house just with that food all the time ... but I like being on the couch, and I even leave the back door a little bit open because it gets the air cold so then you can be under a doona.”

Admitting the pair haven’t done much wedding planning yet, Jacobz says there’s one thing they know for sure – and that’s what’s on the dessert menu. “I’d love an ice-cream cake but she’s into German chocolate, so I think that we might even go for that and a McDonald’s ice-cream cake afterwards,” he laughs.

But in terms of whether they want an intimate gathering or a lavish affair, nothing is set in stone as yet. “We’ve looked at a few different locations – in Australia, in Hawaii, in LA, so don’t know yet,” Jacobz says. “I just said to her as well, I just want her to be my wife, I said it doesn’t really matter where we go. It doesn’t have to be too fancy, I don’t want her to be stressing out during the day, I just want her to be able to be dressed up and have her day.”
