The Below Deck Mediterranean (continues Tue., Jul. 2 at 1.35pm; Arena and streams on Hayu) mainstay, 32, reveals what really happens between crew members on Super Yachts.

A few crew members have returned this season. Were you worried about working with any of them?

[Captain] Sandy Yawn and I had to sit down and repair our relationship off camera before the season started, otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to work together. So, we were in a good place when we started and for about

80 per cent of the season. [Laughs]

There are a lot of flings between staff members. How do you approach that?

It’s so funny, because I think it’s kind of hard when you have sleep deprivation, alcohol and a nice-looking crew. It’s such a blasé thing in yachting to wake up and go, “Oh, I pashed that guy last night,” but because it’s on TV and that’s not a life the public are used to, it’s stranger to them than it is to me. I think [having] a relationship last year was not good at all –

I don’t think I would do that again. An innocent flirt or drunk makeout is one thing, but that’s about as far as I will go.

There are also fights on the boat. How do you cope with the conflict?

As you have seen in past seasons, not very well. It’s kind of difficult, because in an office, if you don’t like someone you can avoid them. You go home at night and you can have a bitch to your partner or friends, then you just get on with it. But on the yacht, you can’t get away from them. Even on your nights and days off you are still with them. You are a fan of Real Housewives. Would you love to appear on another reality show? I think it would be fun. Maybe in five years when I need a comeback, I will do that.
