Alleged victims of the disgraced financier speak out

Anna Heinrich has always been health conscious and, while she’s seen a difference in her physique since she was first thrust into the spotlight on The Bachelor in 2013, the blonde beauty reveals she is looking and feeling her best right now. Speaking to WHO, she admits the reason she’s at her fittest and “in a great place” comes down to self-care and finding balance in her fast-paced life. “I don’t feel bad about self-love. That’s where people come undone because treating yourself should be a daily thing, no matter what that is. I think it’s important every day, it actually keeps you on track. I used to never eat bread, now I have bread and avocado every day. I’m so much happier when it comes to food and health.”

Still, if she could give her younger self advice it would be, “Listen to what your body needs but also wants deprivation is certainly not the key.”

The 32-year-old, who has officially been announced as the ambassador for HäagenDazs gelato, says: “Working with Häagen-Dazs and their low-calorie gelato has shown me it’s extremely important to remember that treating yourself is actually not a bad thing. Life is about balance, moderation.”

In hindsight, she’s realised that: “Back when I was younger, I

was probably more worried about what I looked like as opposed to about how I felt inside. To me it’s more about how I’m feeling inside than anything else.”

Earlier this year, the former reality TV star and part-time lawyer revealed that should she ever return to TV it would have to be the right project, and she is now just weeks away from appearing on Channel 7’s The Real Dirty Dancing. Although she won’t give away any spoilers, she is appreciative of the friends she’s made on-set.

“My favourite part of being in the show was [getting] to know a lot of people – I’ve done that through various shows and various events I’ve done over the years, too, but this is different because we were all staying together for weeks in Virginia [in the US]. I got to know people on a different level [as opposed] to coming in and out of it. And the best part is knowing that we’ll always be good friends – I guess lifelong friends – even now we’re always chatting.”

Another on-screen friend Heinrich was surprised to have made is radio host Kyle Sandilands whom she worked alongside on Channel Ten’s pilot show Trial By Kyle.

“I love working with Kyle. I think he’s fantastic. And the main thing is that he respected me – I feel like I’ve got a really good relationship with him.”

So much so that she even learned a few things from the seasoned media personality. “I was actually in awe of him when I saw what he could do because he’s extremely intelligent. He knows a lot about basically everything. Even when it comes to the law, he knows a lot about [that, too].”

Both Heinrich and husband Tim Robards currently have TV commitments, but she reveals they still find time to spend together, despite Robards having to fly to Melbourne from Sydney for his role on Neighbours. “Tim’s back Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and sometimes during the week if he’s got something on – so we are actually with each other quite a lot.” Would she consider making a move to Melbourne? “We don’t know how long he’ll be there at this stage. We’re always extremely busy but we make sure to make time for each other – that’s why we go away on mini getaways to ensure we spend that quality time together.”
