‘I DON’T DEPRIVE MYSELF’

“sex slave”. In a December 2014 court filing she alleged she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew and other friends of Epstein. The 35-year-old claimed she was made to have sex with the prince in London, New York and the Caribbean when she was just 17.

The allegations have been vehemently denied by the Duke of York and Buckingham Palace has said the prince “deplores the exploitation of any human being”.

Clearly in damage control, Prince Andrew recently released a statement in which he said he would not “condone, participate in or encourage” the types of activities Epstein was alleged to have engaged in. Speaking about his friendship with Epstein, the prince said: “I met Mr Epstein in 1999. During the time I knew him, I saw him infrequently and probably no more than only once or twice a year. I have stayed in a number of his residences.

“At no stage during the limited time I spent with him did I see, witness or suspect any behaviour of the sort that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction. I have said previously that it was a mistake and an error to see him after his release in 2010, and I can only reiterate my regret that I was mistaken to think that what I thought I knew of him was evidently not the real person, given what we know now. I have tremendous sympathy for all those affected by his actions and behaviour.”

But speaking to reporters outside court about the Duke of York, Giuffre said: “He knows what he’s done and he can attest to that. He knows exactly what he’s done, and I hope he comes clean about it.”

challenging the prince to go to the US to face the alleged victims. “I personally extended that invitation to Prince Andrew multiple times,” he said. “Any time, we are ready, and we have a lot of questions for him.”

Epstein had many powerful, high-profile people in his orbit, including US President Donald Trump, who once called him a “terrific guy” and, perhaps surprisingly, The Simpsons’ creator Matt Groening. In unsealed court documents, Giuffre says Epstein forced her to give Groening a foot massage aboard Epstein’s private jet in 2001, describing his toenails as “crusty”.

The documents also reveal Giuffre allegedly had threesomes with Epstein and his former girlfriend, heiress Ghislaine Maxwell, who is accused of procuring girls for Epstein. Giuffre says she was 15 when Maxwell recruited her to work as Epstein’s masseuse when she was an employee at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.

Maxwell has repeatedly denied accusations against her and has never been charged. She was last seen in Los Angeles. But, as with Prince Andrew, the allegations against Maxwell are shocking. In a lawsuit filed against Epstein’s estate, Priscilla Doe says she was a 20-year-old dancer when she was hired as one of Epstein’s personal masseuses and taken to his island, Little St. James, in 2006. Doe claimed she had her passport taken and was allegedly taught by Maxwell “the proper way” to perform sex acts on the tycoon in a “step-by-step tutorial”.

Whether Maxwell will break her silence on allegations remains to be seen. One thing is for certain: Giuffre and others won’t give up their fight. Giving testimony in court, Giuffre said: “I am a victim of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and the dark and cruel criminal acts they committed against me … for years and years and years unstopped,” she said.

“It’s not how Jeffrey died, it’s how he lived. “I was recruited at a very young age from Mar-a-Lago and entrapped in a world that I didn’t understand, and I’ve been fighting that very world to this day, and I won’t stop fighting – I will never be silenced until these people are brought to justice.”
