Brad Pitt is another A-Lister to take part in Kanye’s Sunday Service

-

DAYS AFTER CRUISING canals in Italy to support the premiere of his latest movie Ad Astra at the Venice Film Festival (see p.6), Brad Pitt was spotted among a crowd in a parking lot in Watts, Los Angeles, while dropping in on Kanye West’s Sunday Service on September 1.

In a photo posted to an Instagram fan page, the 55-yearold actor, sporting a T-shirt, hat and sunglasses, greeted West, 42, with a handshake. Another video posted by TMZ shows West in a crowd of worshippers who are singing with his choir in the parking lot of a local church, and briefly pans to Pitt. The outlet reports this is the second time the Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood star has attended the rapper’s Sunday Service.

Days earlier on August 29, West’s wife Kim Kardashian West,

38, posted a photo on Twitter with the title of her husband’s upcoming album, Jesus Is King, featuring a copy of the Bible opened to Psalm 57:6, a flashlight, a jar of lemons and some drafts, focusing on a sheet of paper teasing a potential tracklist, including ‘Garden’, ‘God Is’, ‘Sierra Canyon’, ‘Sweet Jesus’ and ‘Water’. “[West] is extremely passionate about his faith and wants to share it more regularly with people,” a source close to the rapper told WHO in April.

“He has talked about starting his own church, and what exactly that would be,” the source says. “Say what you want about Kanye, but he really does want to help people who need support. He understands brokenness and the need for healing, probably more than most people. He believes in the healing powers of music, but also believes that God can step in and heal people’s brokenness.”

A source who also attended the service told ET Pitt appeared “just amazed by the atmosphere and love”. The star told West he loved the experience, and “made sure to take as many pictures with everyone who asked”. Meanwhile, a source tells WHO, “Kanye was so happy Brad was there [ because they] have been friendly for awhile. There’s a common respect between the two of them.” And after a rough three years since his ex Angelina Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016, Pitt is finally feeling a sense of peace. “He’s worked very hard on himself to be a better, healthier person and to be the best dad possible,” a source tells WHO. “These were always his priorities. That his career is going well is a happy bonus that he is thrilled about.”

Having quit drinking and on a health kick, he “really takes his workouts seriously”, the source says. “It’s been a whole lifestyle change. And he looks amazing.”

On the home front, in May the father of six helped celebrate daughter Shiloh’s 13th birthday.

Between his career success and making personal strides, Pitt “really found his happiness again”, the first source says. “He is back and very excited about life.”
