Georgia Love
After three years together, the reality stars are getting hitched!
FORMER BACHELORETTE couple Georgia Love and Lee Elliott are officially getting married! The loved-up pair who have been together for just over three years took to Instagram on September 1 to announce the exciting news with affectionate photos taken by the Hawkesbury River – the picturesque setting where Elliott popped the question. “If you’re not busy for the next 50 or 60 years … #YES!!,” Love captioned a photo alongside Elliott which showed off her diamond ring. Meanwhile, her gushing partner captioned a similar snap: “I liked it, so I put a ring on it #feyonce,” accompanied by ring emoji.
The newsreader chose to give Elliott her final rose in 2016, and they since moved in
together, enjoyed trips overseas and experienced life lessons hand-in-hand. Last year, Love admitted that having the support of Elliott after her mother passed away from pancreatic cancer – only three weeks after filming the season finale of the dating show – had been an anchor in her grieving process. “I quite honestly don’t know how I would have got through the last two years without him,” she told E! News.
“But that was why I went on the show. I wanted someone to be able to support me. I wanted to have someone in my life and thank goodness I found that because the last years have thrown more at me than I could have imagined or expected.”
Since their engagement news broke, close friend and Bachelorette host Osher Günsberg has taken to social media to share a message of congratulations to the happy couple. “This pleases me greatly,” the star shared on Instagram. Despite rumours of an engagement over the past few months, Elliott kept it a surprise and proposed to Love on her birthday.
Melbourne-based jeweller Saphira Diamonds, which created the sparkler on Love’s finger, has shared the incredible details about the former reality star’s ring. “Lee worked with us to help design Georgia’s perfect engagement ring – a Round Brilliant Solitaire floating above a micropavé band,” the Instagram page shared. Congratulations!
