JIMMY BARTEL STEPS OUT WITH RUMOURED NEW GIRLFRIEND
A PACKET OF NAPPIES UNDER ONE ARM, former AFL star Jimmy Bartel strode along a Melbourne street on October 10. By his side was Lauren Mand, his rumoured new girlfriend following his split from wife, Nadia Bartel, two months ago. He and Mand looked every bit the couple, despite the fact the fact neither of them has confirmed they are in a relationship.
But there is another clue which points to the fact Bartel and Mand are indeed an item. He started following her on Instagram on October 7, which has led to speculation the two are about to take the next step and go public with their relationship. Mand was already one of Bartel’s 124,000 Instagram followers.
On her private Instagram, Mand recently posted she was “content and couldn’t be happier”, as reported by New Idea, fuelling speculation about the couple. The nappy run, presumably for the Bartels’ 1-year-old son Henley, was the not the first time Jimmy Bartel, 35, and Mand have been seen in public together. On August 28, they were spotted having lunch at the Manly Greenhouse restaurant in Sydney.
The Bartels, who share two sons, Henley and 3-year-old Aston, announced their split on August 15. On Channel Seven’s The All New Monty: Ladies’ Night, Nadia said: “It’s been a tough time personally for me recently, it’s just so painful.”
In September, the Daily Mail revealed Mand had listed her London apartment for sub-let. She had moved to London from Melbourne earlier this year. However, it is now thought her shift back to Australia will be a permanent one.
