Doing high-intensity exercise when you’re a D cup bra size is an issue. You’re there trying to focus on your jumping jacks, but there’s a lot of distracting movement upstairs and sometimes it’s painful. I’ll occasionally have to hold my arm across my chest to stop the bounce. I’ve tried various things to help, including doubling up by wearing a tight crop top over a sports bra while I run, which meant I burned about 1000 calories trying to escape from the titty-prison at shower time afterwards.

Exercising when wearing the wrong sports bra can damage your breast ligaments resulting in breast pain and also stretchmarks. Good times. So, in my quest to find a great sports bra for bigger boobed ladies, I tested out Under Armour’s new UA Infinity Bra.

Under Armour are known for being innovative, so it’s no surprise that they’ve put in serious thought to this bra. Rather than cutting two perfect breast-shaped cups from a flat piece of padding, gluing and layering pieces of foam (the traditional sports bra construction), UA’s design team liquid-injected the foam for a more natural shape that they say moves with the breasts.

The soft and comfy feel of this bra is the first thing I noticed when I did my HIIT workout wearing it. A lot of sports bras are restrictive on your upper body, often crushing your melons into a uniboob or using scaffolding-grade underwire. The Infinity Bra moulds over your breasts so it sits over your natural shape and also gives some lift. I didn’t need to do any adjusting during my workout; it didn’t ride up my ribcage and the crossover back straps at the back (which you can adjust to go straight) meant they can’t slip down your shoulders.

The UA Infinity comes in eight colours, sizes XS to XL, goes up to a 38D and you can choose from high, mid or low impact bra. Of my three sports bras it has now become my favourite, especially for HIIT training.
