They’ve been keeping mum over the nature of their relationship, but sports star Michael Clarke and fashion designer Pip Edwards couldn’t hide their affection for each other when they stepped out for a cosy dinner in Sydney’s Bondi Beach on June 21. The pair, who have been the subject of romance speculation since the cricketer, 39, announced his split from estranged wife Kyly in February, were spotted linking arms as they made their way into Society Pizza restaurant to meet with the designer’s son

Justice, 13, and pals for a bite to eat. Edwards, 40, and Clarke couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces as they cuddled up to each other while chatting to friends during the night out.

After Clarke’s shock divorce announcement earlier this year, news of his romance with Edwards surfaced. However the pair were quick to deny they were anything more than friends, insisting they were simply working on a project together.

And while the pair were rumoured to have split back in April – with whispers that Clarke couldn’t handle the publicity – they appeared to be back on and going strong during the recent night out. “They looked like a very sweet couple,” an onlooker shared.

Their reunion comes just weeks after Edwards revealed that she had celebrated her 40th birthday solo. “I think one of my greatest fears since, forever, was being alone,” the P.E Nation designer said in an interview with Gritty Pretty. “So isolation made me really confront that – especially turning 40 alone.”
