Expect major developments or changes for the better. Opportunity knocks and unusual or unexpected events make this an interesting week. Lots of contact and excitement with friends can be expected. Your social life is picking up and this will have you running on full throttle. Slow down and watch your money – you are spending unnecessarily again, trying to impress others.

SCORPIO OCT. 23–NOV. 21

Stretch your imagination when dealing with creative issues and do not let an opportunity pass you by. Dealing with people in authority will prove extremely successful and they will back your ideas. Pressures may cause you to re-think your work or daily routine plans. Avoid anything that causes nervous tension. This will be a hectic cycle for catching up on last minute details or completing those promised chores. Avoid getting side-tracked – you may find you have too many irons in the fire, then blame others for your inability to complete certain tasks. Watch your health.

PISCES FEB. 19–MAR. 19

Improved personal relationships will have you on a high and you may receive that confirmation you have been waiting for. Pets may have a destiny link with you – they will require attention, or vet bills could be on the horizon. Money, future travel plans, romance or favourable social conditions are indicated. After years of begging from fans and swirling industry rumours, in February it was confirmed that the absurdly popular sitcom Friends was going to have a reunion special. But the coronavirus pandemic skittled plans for the anticipated event to launch the new US streaming platform HBO Max in May. So, what now?

WHAT IS IT?

For the first time since filming the series finale, the superstar cast – Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry – will come together on the same lot where they filmed 236 episodes of the hit sitcom starting in 1994: Stage 24 of the Warner Bros Studio lot in Burbank, California. The cast took to Instagram to confirm the news. “It’s happening ...” each teased next to a throwback photo of the cast. (Except for LeBlanc, who jokingly substituted a photo of the cast from M*A*S*H).

WHAT TO EXPECT – AND WHAT NOT TO ...

It’s the actors reuniting, not the characters. “We want people to know, it’s not a scripted episode,” Kudrow told Entertainment Weekly magazine. “It’s just us, reminiscing. Talking how we haven’t been in the same room for anyone to see us in 20 years – or more now.” (The actors – minus a then-out-of-the-country Perry – last reunited in person for a 2016 tribute to director James Burrows.) “I will not be Rachel, although I kind of am,” Aniston later told Variety. “Well, we’re all sort of little fragments of them. Not really. But yeah.”

THEY’LL STILL BE THERE FOR YOU WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-to-Consumer chairman Bob Greenblatt has told Variety that despite many shows resorting to virtual reunions using Zoom, they’re keen to stick to their original plan for an unscripted special filmed in front of a live studio audience. “We do think there’s a value to having a big, raucous live audience to experience these six great friends coming back together,” he said. “We didn’t want to just suddenly do it on a web call with, you know, six squares and people shooting from their kitchens and bedrooms.”

WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN?

“We are hoping to be able to shoot in August if all is well and there is no early second wave and the studio is open,” the sitcom’s co-creator Marta Kauffman told The Wrap on June 17. “If everything is in place … and we can still make a good show, we’ll be shooting it... mid-to-late August.”

WILL THERE EVER BE A NEW SCRIPTED EPISODE?

“Jennifer and I always say ‘Sure, we’d do one, why not?’ It would be fun,” Cox told WHO in 2019. “How great to get together with my friends and act and be silly? But it would take the writers also to catch on and make it worth everyone returning.” LeBlanc isn’t so sure. “I always have this standard go-to joke when people say, ‘We want to see what Joey’s doing now.’ Nobody wants to see Joey get his colonoscopy! Nobody wants to see that.”

WHAT THEY KNOW

“We don’t know everything about it,” Kudrow said in an interview chat with Aniston for Variety. “Oh, we don’t know anything about it,” Aniston responded. “What we do know, we can’t say,” Kudrow responded. “I think we’re meant to be surprised by some things.”

HOW WILL WE WATCH IT? Foxtel has secured the rights to HBO Max content, but at press time there are no international rights for the special. ”We are hoping that this changes,” a spokesperson tells WHO. As are we!
