US comedian, actor and director, Carl Reiner, who created the classic sitcom, The Dick Van Dyke Show, passed away of natural causes on June 29, aged 98. Reiner directed George Burns in 1977’s Oh, God! and Steve Martin in The Jerk, Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid and The Man with Two Brains. He also appeared as a con man in the 2001 remake of Ocean’s Eleven. Paying tribute on social media, Adam Sandler wrote: “One of our comedy heroes. Thank you for everything you did

81. The Gambian-born British actor was one of the first black actors in the Royal Shakespear­e Company in the 1960s. “Louis paved the way for many actors who followed: a lifelong activist and champion of anti-racism,” his agents said in a statement.
