WHAT’S NEXT?

While fans have clamoured for a second season of Normal People, Edgar-Jones has admitted it’s not on the cards. However, she and Paul Mescal recently reunited to film two special episodes – Normal Older People for an Irish Comic Relief special. Fleabag’s Hot Priest Andrew Scott joined them as their confessor. “I’m in love father, but it’s complicated,” says Mescal as Connell. “Tell me about it,” quips Hot Priest. Sadly there’s no word on when we’ll be able to view the work in Australia. Meanwhile Edgar-Jones is starring in SBS’s War of the Worlds, which starts on July 9 at 8.30pm.

Based on H.G. Wells’ classic novel, this TV reworking of The War of the Worlds stars Edgar-Jones as Emily Gresham, who has a connection to aliens.
