SHOALHAVEN WINERIES
The South Coast region of NSW is famous for its charming countryside, white sand beaches and stunning coastline. It has world-famous seafood, a long history of dairy farming and is now an emerging, award-winning wine region.
Just two and a half hours’ drive from Sydney and two hours from Canberra, Shoalhaven is the perfect spot to #LoveNSW and reboot 2020.
The Shoalhaven region has been producing wine for only 30 years, which is still relatively young. However, within that time it has certainly showed its class, with more than 1000 medals awarded.
Shoalhaven has 16 family-run cellar doors, including Silos Estate near Berry, Cambewarra Estate near Nowra, Coolangatta Estate near Shoalhaven Heads, Mountain Ridge estate at Seven Mile Beach, Two Figs near Berry, and
Bawley Vale near Bawley Point.
For a food and wine experience like no other, Cupitt’s Estate is the South Coast’s food, wine, beer and cheese heaven.
The estate comprises a family-operated boutique winery, cellar door, restaurant, bar, microbrewery and fromagerie in a beautiful coastal countryside setting in between Ulladulla and Milton.
Shoalhaven is well-known for chambourcin, a hybrid French red wine variety that has only been available since the 1960s.
Whether it’s beaches and vistas you are after or a decadent dinner with award-winning wines, Shoalhaven is the ideal weekend away to reboot 2020.
