THE FORMER I’M A CELEB STAR IS READY FOR MORE LAUGHS WITH HER NEW HOSTING GIG

Have you recovered from your time in the jungle and how hard was it? I have certainly recovered the weight I lost, thanks to ‘rona. The jungle was great training for isolation to be honest: spending a month confined with the same people and resisting the urge to strangle them. Who are still close to from your time in the jungle? Ryan [Gallagher] was my main man and we still chat on the daily.

Nothing meaningful. We just hang s--t on each other’s Instagram for sport. They’re the best friends to have. You’re hosting the new Just For Laughs: Uncut comedy series. What’s been the best and worst experience you’ve had doing stand-up or in comedy? Aside from having the honour of performing at the Opera House the last two years (and hopefully this one), I’ve gotta say the highlight was a festival show in Sydney at the Enmore. A bus load of liquored-up folk from Mount Druitt turned up which made for the most fun I’ve had with an audience – ever. I think I only got through half of my material. The rest was roast-riffing and they were bang up for it. God we laughed. The worst experience? I buggered up a gala set at the Athenaeum Theatre just before Arj Barker. Felt awful. What makes you laugh and when was the last time you laughed until you cried? Honestly? I laugh hard at FailArmy videos. The last time I laughed until I cried was with my hubby reading through a bunch of predictive text memes. There was a very serious text that was autocorrected to flamingo. We lost it. If you could nominate your dream gig what would it be and why? A host on my own show (that I wrote). I’m working on it. Or a role in a Judd Apatow film. He’s a genius. (Just For Laughs: Uncut airs Tue., Aug. 4 at 9pm on Network Ten)
