LARA’S BODY TRANSFORMATION
THE AUSSIE BEAUTY REVEALS THE SECRET TO HER AMAZING POST-BABY BODY, JUST FOUR MONTHS AFTER GIVING BIRTH
She only gave birth to her third child just months ago, but Lara Worthington is already back on the fitness bandwagon. The 33-year-old shared a series of stunning snaps of herself working out on her Instagram on September 16, revealing she’d recently started an at-home Pilates regimen. “One week into three weeks working with @fluidformpilates … stay tuned,” she shared. Worthington has been taking it easy since welcoming another baby boy – whose name she and hubby Sam, 44, are yet to reveal – earlier this year. Last month she answered a fan’s question about her secret to getting her body back after pregnancy, admitting it’s all about taking your time. “Nine months in, at least nine months out!” she answered.
While she’s obviously in no rush to return to her pre-baby body, Worthington’s Pilates training is a natural choice for the star
– with the online program offering a range of postnatal workouts. “Pilates is all about finding consistency in moving and listening to your body. Once this becomes integral to your daily life, you will see complete physical and mental transformation,” explains Fluidform’s founder Kirsten King.
“I’ve never really done much of that before, I’d been more into the gym and had a trainer,” Worthington told Vogue of taking up Pilates earlier this year. “But when I’m pregnant and I need to calm down a bit, Pilates has been really good.”
It’s no surprise the model-turnedentrepreneur is already working on her strength and fitness after giving birth. Worthington has previously explained she loves the solitude that comes with working out – a sense of calm that likely doesn’t happen often now she’s mum to three young boys. “Exercise is my favourite part of the day because it’s my own time,” she shared.
Whether it’s Pilates, dance-based Ballet Beautiful or celeb trainer Tracy Anderson’s The Pregnancy Project workouts – which Worthington credited for keeping her fit during her first two pregnancies – the star enjoys a program she can do in her own time and at her own pace. “I think it’s all about incorporating exercise into your life and not letting it be something you are forced into doing,” she previously shared.
What she puts into her body is also a big priority for the Aussie-born beauty. Worthington says she feels “more energetic, fit and toned” when following a “mostly vegetarian/pescetarian” diet. “I eat a lot of salad, rice, beans and bread,” she previously shared.
But the star admits she does indulge in the occasional treat, too. “I love pizza,” she said. “That’s Sam’s favourite food, so we eat pizza at least twice a week.”
These indulgences are what keeps the star accountable when it comes to working out. “Of course, I have days I don’t want to train,” she previously told The Daily Telegraph. “But I like to indulge a bit when I eat, so I don’t feel as guilty if I’ve trained.” •
