Zayn & Gigi FIRST DAYS AS PARENTS

Usually social media shy, singer Zayn Malik couldn’t contain his excitement when he took to Twitter on September 24 to announce his supermodel girlfriend Gigi Hadid had given birth to their first child.

“Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful,” he captioned a blackand-white photo of his tattooed hand gripping his daughter’s tiny fingers. “To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together.”

Later that day, Hadid posted another black-and-white snapshot. “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love” she shared on Instagram.

“Gigi is on a high and can’t believe they created an angel. She’s truly so in love and has had many emotional moments while holding her baby girl,” a source told E! News, adding, “Zayn was very emotional when their baby girl was born. He expressed that he is forever changed and would never disappoint her or Gigi. He wants to be the best father possible and is so excited.”

The high-profile couple first started dating in November 2015. They split briefly in early 2018 and after another split in 2019, the pair finally found their way back to each other late last year – just a few months before they found out the model was pregnant with their first child.

And the insider admits the couple are “in the best place right now”. “They’ve been through their ups and downs, but neither stopped caring about the other,” another fashion world source tells WHO’s sister publication People magazine, adding the pregnancy was unplanned but definitely a welcome surprise for the couple. “Gigi is young but has always said she wants several kids.”

A few weeks into parenthood and Malik, 27, and Hadid, 25, are still on cloud nine. “It’s a really exciting time and they all can’t get enough of her,” the E! News source explains, adding the model’s mum, Yolanda, has been staying with the couple and helping her daughter with her newborn.

“She is planning on staying with them for a while and they all want to head back to the farm [in Pennsylvania] at some point,” the source adds.

The couple have yet to confirm their little one’s name. The couple shared snaps of themselves holding hands with their newborn daughter. The model recently started sharing some stunning snaps from her pregnancy.
