THE ACTRESS IS ITCHING TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP WITH HER NEW BEAU
Katie Holmes sure hasn’t wasted any time getting to know her new partner, Emilio Vitolo Jnr. Since the actress, 41, and the chef, 33, first stepped out together in September, the pair have barely left each other’s sides. PDA-ing their way through New York City, Holmes and Vitolo have been snapped holding hands, riding the subway together, wearing matching ensembles – and they haven’t been shy of a curbside kiss or two!
And according to a source, their loved-up displays aren’t just for show. “Katie thinks she’s in love,” an insider told Star magazine of the normally private mum-of-one. “It’s no exaggeration to say she’s obsessed with this guy.”
It’s a very different relationship to the one Holmes had with ex Jamie Foxx, 52. Shrouded in secrecy, the pair had a five-year on-off romance but were only spotted together a handful of times before they ended things for good last year. And the actress is clearly revelling in the fact she doesn’t have to keep this new relationship under wraps. “She is happy she can be free and comfortable with her relationship with Emilio and doesn’t need for it to be private,” a source tells Us Weekly.
However, friends fear Holmes might be getting swept up in the romance a little too quickly, with whispers she’s already started talking about tying the knot with her younger boyfriend. “In her mind, they’re two kindred spirits who are destined to be together,” another source tells Heat magazine. “She’s still adamant they’ll elope sooner or later.”
Holmes’ inner circle are concerned she’s headed for yet another heartbreak and have been telling her to pump the breaks. “People have tried to warn her she’s taking things way too fast with Emilio. She doesn’t know him all that well, and there are red flags over the way he treated his ex,” the Heat source explains of Vitolo’s ex-fiancée, Rachel Emmons, with whom he ended things via text two days before he and Holmes were first spotted together.
But the actress isn’t letting anyone spoil her fun. “She refuses to believe he’s not as head over heels in love with her as she is with him,” the insider adds.
Her family and friends might want to move quickly if they do want to knock some sense into the actress, with Holmes said to be keen to add to her brood with the chef. “She can imagine herself with two or three more kids, and Emilio’s definitely on board,” shares the Star insider.
And pals fear it’s just a ticking time bomb before something else goes wrong for the unlucky-in-love star. “While it’s great that Katie seems so happy, there’s the sense of a train wreck waiting to happen,” the Heat source adds.
