From the outside, Jennifer Hawkins’s life seems endlessly glamorous, with a whirlwind of award shows, high fashion runways and five-star holidays.
But in a world increasingly obsessed with famous faces, there’s also a dark side to fame, as stalkers, death threats and intense security measures become commonplace.
When Jen was followed down the Myer catwalk by two suited bodyguards last week, it was hard to fathom why the normally down-to-earth star could need so much security at such an intimate fashion event.
And while a spokesperson for 33-year-old Jen did their best not to heighten the drama by insisting the bodyguards had not been requested by her team and didn’t have anything to do with concerns for her personal safety, other well-placed sources believe they were trying to cover up a frightening truth.
Whispers coming from Jen’s inner circle suggest the former Miss Universe has been forced to take extreme measures in a bid to ensure her safety. What’s more, some believe it could be her famously close relationship with US President Donald Trump that’s the cause of the new fears, rather than the attention of overzealous fans.
Despite Jen’s efforts to distance herself from the president – she famously issued a media blackout during his election campaign – she has been unable to shake her association with the man she has described as a “brilliant businessman” and credits with “inspiring her to keep going and follow her heart.”

It’s certainly no secret that those close to or even vaguely associated with Trump have been forced to beef up their security to protect themselves, with calls to “gun down” and #Assassinatetrump rife since before he was elected.
In January a man was charged over attempting to kill him, and performers were forced to pull out of his inauguration ceremonyy because of security fears.
Now, as a host of other celebs bs are coming forward what seems ms like every other day to reveal they’ve been targeted by stalkerskers or received threats against their eir lives, fiercely private Jen is said aid to be fearful she could be next xt on the target list.
It’s believed she’s now terrified fied her perfect life, alongside her husband Jake Wall, could come crashing down around her, with even the catwalk no longer a safe place.
While some might suggest it’s paranoia on Jen’s part, others believe it’s a matter of preparing for the worst.
