It’s been 20 years since he played Peter Allen in the boy from Oz. Now, Todd Mckenny is returning to the stage to pay tribute tto the Aussie musical icon to whom hhe credits his own career. TodayToda Todd is just as close to Peter’sPeter family as he was back then. “I wasw embraced by them from the mo moment we met,” says Todd, who act actually formed a friendship with Pet Peter’s sister Lynne walking their do dogs in Bondi before he was cast. “When I auditioned, they wrapped up three of Peter’s shirts with a letter that said, ‘If anyone is going to play Peter, we hope it’s you!’” Two decades later, Todd hasn’t looked back. “I spent s six months learning Peter’s li life story and his songs, so we th thought why not celebrate thatthattha with this tour!”
