THE ANIMAL WHISPERER

Amanda De Warren speaks to Terri’s cat Eddie

-

AMANDA SAYS Eddie tells me she is female and when Terri first met her, Eddie was living with a dog and another cat that didn’t like her. Terri came to house-sit and Eddie loved Terri from the start. Terri’s mum, who passed a long time ago, comes through with a cat called Lucy Bell. This cat tells me she lived with Terri years ago and passed at 19 years old from renal problems. I felt Lucy Bell brought Eddie and Terri together. I then see a man passed over who tells me he is Terri’s husband, Michael, and that he had a stroke 20 years ago and then lung cancer. Michael tells me that he passed over about six years ago. Eddie is fussy with her food and when Terri tries to get her off the bed she bites her. I felt this had something to do with Eddie’s past. Eddie is a strong personality but she thanks Terri for taking her in. Eddie tells me she is about 13 years old now and is in very good shape.

TERRI SAYS The reason I reached out to Amanda was to find out about Eddie’s past. Eddie is a rescue cat with a couple of odd quirks and I’ve always wondered about them, especially why she didn’t like being touched when she was on the bed. Amanda told me that it was a symptom of her neglect as a kitten being left in an apartment for days at a time. Amanda also got in contact with my late husband, Michael, and told me that he visits me. Due to his illness, he had his own room and sometimes I’ll go into the room and notice that the pillow he slept on has moved. I feel at peace knowing Eddie is happy and Michael watches over me.
