MAKE A MARBLE PLANTER

-

You can adapt this contact-paper technique to any container you like, as long as it has non-sloping sides STEP ONE Take a piece of string and wrap it around the tin to measure its circumference. Cut string where the ends meet. Then measure the height of tin with a ruler. STEP TWO Roll marble contact paper on a flat surface with the paper back facing up. Use a pencil and ruler to mark out the height of the tin on the contact paper, then mark out its circumference using the string. Cut out rectangle using a ruler and a utility knife. STEP THREE Slowly stick contact paper around tin, pressing down firmly as you go to remove air bubbles for a smooth finish. WE USED Marble contact paper, from $9.95 a metre, Crockers Paint & Wallpaper.
