Fifi & Damien They’re in love!
The radio host is smitten just weeks after hinting she still liked her ex
I t’s the love triangle that has captivated fans for months. But now radio star Fifi Box has confirmed she’s finally moved on from ex Grant Kenny with her Neighbours co-star Damien Richardson, declaring her love for the actor she describes as “the man for me” and “everything I ever wanted”. Speaking on her Fox FM breakfast show last week, normally fiercely private Fifi, 40, couldn’t resist telling her listeners exactly how she feels, confessing she’s been in a relationship for a “number of months now” and is “really happy”. “It’s been going really well and I’m really happy and we’re enjoying each other’s company,” she gushed of her television star beau, who she hilariously pretended was called Steven.
“I like him very, very, very, very, very much and I think he likes me,” she laughed.
“It would seem we are quite enamoured with each other.”
Fifi’s decision to finally go public with Damien is proof the pair are now ready to take their relationship to the next level after a string of setbacks, including her lingering feelings for Grant, the father of her four-year-old daughter Trixie.
‘We had Indian takeaway in bed and watched Netflix’
Since Damien and Fifi were first rumoured to be dating last year, they’ve had to play down their romance for fear of further hurting the actor’s
estranged wife Nicole Riches, and their children, Maisie, Bertie and Lottie.
Speaking to Woman’s Day in January, Nicole tearfully told us that she was struggling with Damien and Fifi’s new romance, calling it “difficult to deal with” and saying she felt “hurt, betrayed and embarrassed” by the fact her husband had moved on so quickly.
At the time, our sources revealed Damien and Fifi had been enjoying a series of clandestine meetings, after falling for one another while filming Neighbours. The pair were seen “kissing as they enjoyed a date” at a Melbourne cafe, and Damien was later spotted leaving the radio host’s house in the early hours of the morning.
Earlier this month, we revealed how Fifi’s ex, Grant, 53, was “determined” to win her back after they were snapped smiling on a family day out in
Melbourne. “He really relies on Fifi emotionally, and he respects her heaps because she is such a great mum,” said our insider at the time.
Meanwhile, Fifi has never hidden the fact Grant was the love of her life, but her public declaration is a telling sign she’s keen to make a fresh start – and put her past with Grant firmly behind her.
Clearly happier than ever, The Project star couldn’t resist telling her radio listeners about the heartwarming moment she realised Damien was The One.
“On the weekend, Saturday night, date night, and we thought of all the things – where shall we go, what shall we do, and then the fact that it was mutual. We ate Indian takeaway in bed and watched Netflix,” she gushed. “Already I’m going this is it, this is everything I’ve ever wanted.
“And then he went and got the chocolate…
“He wanted to go back and get more chocolate. I looked at him as he walked off back to the fridge and thought, ‘I think you’re the man for me!’”
Trixie’s taking it in her stride!
