With filming for the second d season of The Secret Daughter wrapping last week, rumours are rife that lead actress and singer Jessica Mauboy, 27, is going home to Darwin to wed her long-term boyfriend Themeli Magripilis.
“I am heading back to Darwin for a month to reconnect with my family,” the singer told fans, who quickly jumped to the conclusion she’s set to tie the knot three years after she sparked engagement speculation by stepping out with a ring on her wedding finger. And it hasn’t gone unnoticed that her return to Darwin comes during the dry season, a popular time for Northern Territory weddings.
Jessica isn’t shy about sharing her love for her soccer-player partner. “I love the idea of having children with Themeli. I love the idea of being married to him – we already kind of are,” she said late last year.
