Biggest Loser’s Adro stole his brother’s wife
The weight-loss love rat has betrayed his brother in the worst way possible – by running off with his wife
Mikele Sarnellii was over the e moon when, , after years off being estranged from his brother, The Biggest Loseroser winner Adro Sarnelli, the pair reconciled on a family y holiday last October and finallyly got their relationship back on track.rack.
But the fairytale familymily reunion didn’t last long, and just months later Adro committed the ultimate betrayal – running off with his brother’s wife, Amanda.
Now Mikele, from Newcastle in NSW, says he’s done with his fitness fanatic brother from the Gold Coast and hopes he’ll never see him again.
Recounting the heartbreaking tale to Woman’s Day, betrayed Mikele can barely contain his emotions.
“Adro and I had a falling out years ago, but when Amanda and I decided to take the girls on a trip to Sea World, I got our other brother Damo to get in contact with Adro and we met up,” tells Mikele, who has a four-year-old daughter, Sophia, with his ex-wife and is stepdad to her other daughter, Gemma, eight, from a previous relationship.
“At first it was wonderful. We went out to dinner with Adro and Carla [Price, Adro’s then girlfriend],” he says of the happy memory.
But it wasn’t long after the trip that mother-of-two Carla, who dated Adro for two years, ended her relationship with the Biggest Loser winner. Mikele now believes it’s because she had discovered his affair with Amanda.
Lulled into a false sense of security at being reunited with his brother, Mikele says he ignored the red flags when Adro and Amanda – who dated briefly as teenagers – started getting along all too well.
Mikele even encouraged Adro – who came to fame after losing 50kg on the first season of the reality weight-loss show – to make multiple trips to Newcastle to see him and his family. Worse still, he even invited Adro – who
is father to daughter Odessa, 13, and sons Eden, 10, and Sage, six – to spend Christmas with them, welcoming him with open arms.
But little did he know Adro, 37, had a secret motive behind his

trips to Newcastle – he had begun an affair with Amanda, sleeping with Mikele’s wife behind his back and even carrying out ““sexy”sexy” Facetime sessions when they couldn’t meet up in person.
“I had a feeling something was going on between them at Christmas, but I was rapt to be seeing my little brother again so I ignored my gut,” says Mikele, full of regret.
It wasn’t until he discovered a series of flirtatious messages between Adro and Amanda that he confronted his wife and his world came crashing down.
“It wasn’t long after that Amanda told me she was leaving me for Adro and planned to leave our youngest, Sophia, with me in Newcastle and move herself and her other daughter Gemma to live with Adro on the Gold Coast,” he says, barely able to hold back tears. “I’m left with our little girl and Sophia is too young to understand why her mum isn’t here anymore.
“Poor Gemma will be so confused this guy she just met as Uncle Adro, my brother, is now in a relationship with her mum.”
Despite his shock at his brother’s betrayal, Mikele says it’s hardly surprising behaviour from Adro, who has been embroiled in scandals for years, including reports he has been emotionally abusive to his ex-girlfriend Carla.
“He’s not only stuffed up his own life several times over, but has now come in and ruined mine. Where’s the family loyalty! He has none. He’s still the same lowlife I’ve always known. He likes to pretend he’s something special because he won a show years ago.
“It just proves you can’t trust anyone, not even your brother, your blood, your family.
“He doesn’t know how to be happy and when he gets bored with one woman, he moves on to the next girl he can charm.”
