Delta’s new heartache
The Aussie singer is reeling as her former lover is forced to deny accusations of sex ual misconduct
She’s loved-up with fellow musician Matthew Copley and happier than ever – but Delta Goodrem’s world came crashing down last week when news broke that her ex-flame, Seal, had been forced to deny allegations he assaulted a female neighbour.
Actress Tracey Birdsall, 54, came forward with the shock claims, which a spokesman for the LA County Sheriff’s office has since confirmed are under investigation.
Tracey, whose most recent role was in sci-fi film Rogue Warrior: Robot Fighter, alleges she and the Kiss From A Rose singer had originally formed a friendship when they lived next door in Malibu. However, when she visited him one day in November 2016 to retrieve a salad spinner she had lent him, she says things took a terrifying turn.
According to Tracey, Seal, 54, lunged at her, attempting to forcibly kiss her repeatedly. When she asked him what he was doing, Seal allegedly replied, “I’m kissing you,” before commenting on the tank top and shorts she was wearing. He then began groping her breasts, claims
Tracey, despite her telling him to stop, before inviting her to sit next to him on the couch where she claims he groped her again.
While Seal has vehemently denied the allegations, the accusations will no doubt have come as a huge shock to Delta, who’s thought to be heartbroken.
As reported in Woman’s Day last July, at one stage the pair were so serious that Seal had even moved into 33-year-old Delta’s LA pad.
Days before Tracey went to the police with her claims, Seal posted a video online tagged #Tellthetruth, encouraging

victims of sexual misconduct to speak out in light of Hollywood’s #Metoo movement.
“To all of you who have been sexually abused, I applaud you for coming forward,” he says in the clip. “What you did takes real courage and please keep showing that courage, and please keep coming forward because that’s the only way we get to solve this thing.”
