TELV’S DARK SIDE EXPOSED!

Drunken benders and late late-nightnight rows led to the bitter end of Sarah and Telv’s TV marriage

With his cheeky smile and tearful declarations of love for Sarah Roza, it was hard not to love Telv Williams on Married At First Sight. But it was all a con, according to a friend of Sarah’s who is angry at how Telv’s TV wife has been left shaken and hurt after the marriage experiment turned sour.

“Telv is an affable, nice fellow, but he has an explosive and cruel temper,” says the friend, pointing to Valentine’s Day as the day the pair finally called it off, when an argument led to Sarah almost calling the police.

“Most of their rows were over Telv not being around. He was absent all of the time, often on drunken benders with mates that would last several days.

“One time, he posted to social media pictures of strippers he was at a house party with, which left her feeling utterly disrespected and humiliated.”

It’s believed TV producers were approached several times to help rein in the wayward contestant, who pleaded guilty to assault in 2002.

Sarah’s friend says producers did anything and everything in their power to keep the couple on the show, but nothing could help the doomed relationship.

Perhaps most shocking of all though, is that the 34-year-old father-of-two also belittled Sarah, 38, for being too fat.

“She’s very curvy and sensitive about her weight,” the friend says, adding he also called her other crude names. “It tore her heart into shreds.

“People think Telv is this wonderful, caring husband, which he can be, but he totally abandoned Sarah. There were so many nights I’d receive tearful phone calls from her about him.

“He lived rent-free at her house in Melbourne, ate her meals, used her car and even borrowed money from her – which he’s never paid back. She was the concierge at Hotel Telv!

“They really did love each other during the experiment. But just before the reunion, Telv admitted he was no longer sexually attracted to Sarah and it killed her.”

As for why they kept up the pretence for so long, Sarah’s friend says she felt pressured to maintain appearances.

“It was extremely difficult for Sarah continuing the lie beyond the show at public events together. They were expected to be close together. It has taken every shred of her integrity to put on a brave face, but she hasn’t wanted to let people down,” says the friend. “He behaved like a single man their whole relationship. She needs someone responsible, stable and committed, a person who has their life together – unlike Telv!”
