Boy George wants out!

The Voice coach is ready to quit for good – but not without a rant first

-

When Boy George joined The Voice last year, he quickly became a fan favourite. This season, the tables have turned – and the Culture Club singer is said to be so fed up with the criticism, he’s ready to walk.

Earlier this month, the 56-year-old was left fuming when vocal loop artist Sam Perry hit back at George’s comments about his performance, calling him a DJ, not a singer.

Sam said his “attack” was “out of line” and made him feel “uncomfortable”, leading George to go on a Twitter rampage about artists speaking to the media.

His sour attitude was only exacerbated after the first live final. Not only was he “gutted” to lose Luke Antony from his team, he publicly slammed fans of the show for voting AP D’antonio as this year’s Wild Card entrant instead of Mikayla Jade, tweeting it was the “biggest joke of the night”.

George went on to complain about the show’s editing, accusing production of manipulating footage to make him look like the bad guy. “There are things put in, like eye rolls, that are out of context. Someone says something, then it cuts to me rolling my eyes,” he vented.

In recent weeks, George has dropped several hints he’s ready to jump ship, even telling one fan he has his eye on the US version of the show.

Meanwhile, onlookers have claimed he appeared “bored” and “disinterested” during the Blind Auditions. And just last week, he was spotted moping around Sydney – his scruffy appearance leaving many to wonder if the show has affected his health.
