MAKE SUNSCREEN PLAYFUL

Kids hate sunscreen, but they love getting their faces painted. So tell your kid you’re painting their face when you’re applying SPF. Look, it won’t work forever, but it’ll get you through.

MAKE USE OF SLEEP TIME

Kids also hate getting their nails cut. My hint? Take a pair of nail clippers with you in the car. Your kid will fall asleep and then you can trim their nails.

DOUBLE DUTY IN THE SHOWER

You know how people say, “I’ve got no time to shower, with a baby”? You do. You just need to include the baby in the shower. Well, not in the shower, but in the bathroom. Whack your baby in a bouncer, facing you in the shower, and go for it. Cleanse, shampoo, condition – the whole nine yards. Mate, you’ll even have time to exfoliate – face and body. Babies love the bathroom for some reason. I would do this before my babies’ first nap in the morning.

BE PREPARED EVERYWHERE

Keep a packed nappy wallet or bag with nappies, wipes, a bib, a spoon and a change of clothes in your pram and in your car. You’ll be ready to go at any time, and only need to add fresh items.

IF ALL ELSE FAILS, APP IT!

Go to the App Store now, download a white noise app and put it on when your baby goes to sleep. They work wonders.
