Brendan Fevola’s surprise baby with Alex
The Fevolas are expecting another girl!
It’s the news they certainly weren’t prepared for. After years of relationship ups and downs, AFL star-turned-radio host Brendan “Fev” Fevola and his ex-wife Alex have confirmed they’re expecting a fourth child – and they couldn’t be happier!
“The Fevola family is going to become six. We’re having a baby!” Brendan B d announced d on F Fox FM’ FM’S Fifi, Fev & Byron show last week.
The 37-year-old went on to reveal the news came as a complete surprise, after an unwell Alex, 41, initially thought she was suffering a bad case of jet lag on a recent trip to the US.
“Alex was feeling really sick over in America. I was like to her, ‘Come on, you’ll be right.’ She thought she was just jet-lagged,” explained Brendan, who “didn’t think anything of it” at the time.
“We have an 18-year-old, we have a 12-year-old and we have an eight-year-old, so we’d shut up shop and I didn’t think it worked any more, that it was all done and dusted.”
But a pregnancy test proved the former footy bad boy wrong.

“We got back on that Tuesday morning, I was sitting on the couch watching the basketball, and she had that look, as if I’d done something wrong, and I was like, ‘Oh no.’ She showed me the stick and she said, ‘We’re having a baby.’ I couldn’t stop laughing!” the former Carlton and Brisbane Lions player recalled.
“You nearly cried, too,” his fiancee quickly chimed in, before revealing their daughters Mia – Alex’s child from a previous relationship – Lulu and Leni were adamant their parents were playing a prank on them for the radio program. “We had a 10-minute conversation trying to convince them that we are having a baby,” Alex laughs.
The couple declared their news on air when the girls popped a balloon that released pink confetti, confirming a fourth girl is on the way!

The announcement marks a new chapter for the pair, who’ve experienced their fair share of troubles since marrying in 2005.
The subject of a number of high-profile scandals, Brendan made headlines when he was accused of having an affair with model Lara Bingle just 14 months after his wedding, and later when his alcohol problem and gambling addiction landed him in rehab.
Divorced in 2014 after nine years of marriage, he and Alex got back together in early 2016 – and they’re due to remarry soon, given Brendan celebrated his bucks party in Bali last month.
With their sights set on the newest addition to the Fevola family, it looks like this baby is the happy ending Brendan and Alex have been hoping for.
