THE PROBLEMS 1. SEED OILS
Seed oils like canola, sunflower, safflower and soy are unstable when heated and inflammatory – and chronic inflammation stresses our bodies and minds.

The type of wheat used over the past 20-30 years is much higher in gluten – and gluten sensitivity is a problem. Gluten increases the permeability of the gut (leaky gut), which is implicated in many autoimmune conditions.
3. CARBS & CORN SYRUP
As a society we eat too many carbohydrates, which quickly break down to sugar – and too much sugar and high-fructose corn syrup. They all raise our insulin levels, and the lower your insulin the healthier you will be.
THE SOLUTIONS 1. HEALTHY FATS
Enjoy healthy fats like coconut, olive and macadamia oil, and butter and fat from healthy grass-fed animals (and reduce your carbohydrates, too).
2. VEGETABLES
Make vegetables the foundation of your diet and eat the rainbow. Lots of colour means lots of phytonutrients, which help with stress, particularly from environmental toxins.
3. EAT NATURAL
Nature has been working on food for millions of years, incorporating the vitamins, minerals, fibre, phytonutrients and much more we need that hasn’t even been identified yet. Eat variety, eat seasonally, eat intelligently.
